About Us
The company of Elektro Drapač was established in 1990. On its establishment, the company objective was to provide electrician's services. The original legal form (natural person) was changed into a limited liability company in 1997 with the fully paid company-owned basic capital of CZK 1,000,000.00.
The company runs its business on its own premises the area of which is 8,500 square metres (91,400 sq. ft.) including the factory building of 3,200 square metres (34,400 sq. ft.). Besides, the company owns some more buildings in the nearby town of Náchod but these are currently being let out for commercial purposes.
Since 1992, the company has been manufacturing illuminated signs and advertisements using preferably aluminum frames and supports. Most the structures are welded in the argon shielding atmosphere. Besides aluminum, we are also able to process other materials such as steel, stainless steel, brass, wood and, as a matter of course, a wide range of plastics ranging from acrylate glass, PVC and ABS boards up to polycarbonates and laminated materials like DIBOND and others. As we use top-quality materials, we are able to provide our customers with up to five-year warranty. Our state-of-the-art machinery allows us to carry out large-area formatting using a digital-measuring saw as well as precision angular and form cutting and milling on the MULTICAM large-area (3 x 2 m) NC milling cutter. Plastics are shaped on bending machines and strip heaters and joined by welding or by using standard and special glues (e.g. those set by UV radiation). We have developed our own devices used for the manufacture of the illuminated signs such as an aluminum double-channel-profile drawing device and an acrylate-profile drawing device. The signs and advertisements are illuminated with neon tubes or with classic long-life fluorescent lamps and with LED's. We are also able to make auxiliary control circuits to provide automatic switching. The steel structures are heat-zinced or metallized. Our own paint shop enables us to use various paint-spraying systems.
The graphic designs are made by our designers working with top-quality devices such as two state-of-the-art ARISTO plotters to cut the foil graphics. The cutting width of these machines is 1.5m while the length is unlimited. We can also use special laser-guided milling and oscillatory heads, e.g. for trimming printed graphics. Our large-area Hewlett Packard printer allows us to make prints up to 90 cm in width on a variety of materials for both internal and external use with additional lamination.
Our technological possibilities enable us to make complete "heavy-duty" illuminated signs and advertisements such as various illuminated pylons or large advertisements with supporting steel structures. Our company has the highest-level welding certificate according to the EN and DIN Standards and is able to supply certified welded structures. Of course, we possess all the necessary certificates enabling us to work on any electrical devices of unlimited voltage.
For external assemblies, we have four fully-equipped assembly vehicles each with a mobile workshop, a power generator and an elevated assembly platform. Moreover, we own the ITECO portable scaffolding up to the working height of 10 metres and an additional hydraulic platform up to 25 metres. We carry out assembly work not only all over the Czech Republic but abroad as well.
Our highly experienced employees have always coped even with the most demanding wishes and requirements of our customers in the highest possible quality. We are able to extend our team of employees by external workers if necessary. Our company also trains a number of apprentices in electrical and mechanical engineering as well as in graphic arts. Our main philosophy is maintaining the top quality of our products and meeting all wishes of our customers from designing work up to the manufacture, assembly and service.
