LED - Technology

The main advantage of the LED technology is its high efficiency, low power consumption and long service life (around 100,000 hours of operation). Another advantage of LEDs if compared with neon signs is the fact that they are practically unbreakable. The failure rate of LEDs is extremely low, they are small and so even small details can be illuminated.

The only disadvantage is their higher price but the price difference between neon signs and LED signs is not so big nowadays as it used to be in the past. The most expensive are white LEDs but owing to their low power consumption and service life, the payback period  of the increased acquisition costs is short.

The development of LEDs is so stormy that yesterday's novelties are quite common today, and even greater and more surprising development (better parameters and lower prices) can be expected in the years to come.
